Branik Badlands Brawl Race Recap

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: June 11, 2025
The 2025 Branik Motorsports Badlands Brawl lived up to its name as Ultra4 USA racers faced off against a soaked and shifting battlefield at Badlands Off Road Park in Attica, Indiana. Known for its deep sand, slick rock, wooded trails, and challenging creek crossings, Badlands is one of the Midwest’s most dynamic off-road venues—and this year, it was pushed to its limit.
Heavy rain during the week saturated the terrain and forced officials to revise Saturday’s course due to rising floodwaters. Trails once fast and flowy turned into trenches of thick clay and standing water, testing drivers across every class.
As the title sponsor, Branik Motorsports not only brought out a strong racing presence but also reinforced its roots as a staple in the Ultra4 community. With a legacy in off-road innovation, custom axles, and high-performance components, Branik’s support helped turn this event into one of the most demanding and rewarding rounds of the season.
Friday: Qualifying and Evening Racing
All classes qualified Friday under muddy and unpredictable conditions. By late afternoon, the racing began—and the challenges mounted quickly.
UTV Youth 1000 / 4900 Stock / 4900 Open
The first main event featured a triple-class showdown. The Youth 1000s ran 3 laps while the 4900 Stock and Open drivers completed 4.
Youth 1000 Winner: Jett Chambers (#9513)
4900 Stock Winner: Jeremy Blackburn (#40)
4900 AllThingz UTV Open Winner: Paul Wolff (#1018)
Chambers showed impressive control in the ruts, while Wolff delivered one of the fastest paces of the weekend with a commanding win in the Open class.
4500 / 4600 Classes (Raced Into Darkness)
As dusk fell, the 4500 Modified and 4600 Stock rigs tackled 4 grueling laps. With no lighting on course, drivers relied solely on their rig-mounted setups.
4500 Winner: Cody StClair (#4561)
4600 Winner: John Hall (#4614)
Both classes fought extreme visibility issues and slick climbs. StClair and Hall navigated it best, earning hard-fought wins in the dark.
Saturday: Arena Youth and Main Event Showdowns
UTV 170 Youth Classes – Arena Action
The morning began in the park’s dedicated “Arena” — a tight, fan-friendly course that hosted high-paced battles in the UTV 170 Limited, Stock, and Modified classes.
Limited Winner: Hayden Gibson (#44)
Stock Winner: Eli Robbins (#831)
Modified Winner: Mills Gibson (#48)
These young drivers showed skill and composure through 15–20 laps of bar-to-bar action, thrilling the crowd.
4900 G Force Technologies Pro Modified Class
By afternoon, the Pro Mod class took to the altered main course for 4 laps.
Winner: Nick Anderson (#3402)
Anderson’s pace was unmatched, threading through worsening ruts and taking a wire-to-wire win.
Saturday Evening: 4400 & 4800 in the Eye of the Storm
Just as the 4400 Unlimited and 4800 Legends classes launched for their 6-lap showdown, the skies opened once again. A heavy rainstorm mid-race transformed the course into a swamp. Water crossings rose rapidly and grip vanished.
4400 Winner: Paul Wolff (#1018)
4800 Branik Motorsports Legends Class Winner: Shaun Rajski (#866)
Wolff, already victorious in 4900 Open, completed the double in dominating fashion. Rajski handled the storm surge and pulled ahead of a competitive 4800 field.
With deep roots in the off-road community, Branik Motorsports helped deliver one of the most physically and mechanically challenging Ultra4 races of 2025. Between youth development in the Arena, night runs through the woods, and a rain-drenched main event, the Badlands Brawl reminded everyone why Indiana is a proving ground—and why Ultra4 drivers never back down.
