Weather Can't Stop the War: Holley EFI Battle in Bluegrass Race Recap

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 4, 2025

The 2025 Holley EFI Battle in Bluegrass delivered a wild and weather-adjusted weekend of racing at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. With Friday qualifying rained out, Ultra4 USA made the call to random draw start positions and run both prelims and main events on Friday ahead of the incoming storm.

We want to thank every racer, team, and crew who stayed flexible and made it happen. The track was fast, the battles were intense, and the fans got a full dose of Ultra4 racing action.

4400 Class – Wolff Takes the Win

Paul Wolff returned to the top step of the 4400 podium, piloting his UFO chassis car to the win after a back-and-forth battle. Phillip McGilton, who missed his prelim due to a blown steering line in practice, came charging back with a strong performance in the main, keeping pressure on Wolff to the checkers. Bill McGibbon ran consistently and locked down third.

UTV Classes – Elbows Out Racing All Day

  • 4900 AllThingz UTV Open Class: Cash LeCroy came out swinging and never looked back, holding off a stacked field that included Nick Anderson and Dustin Robbins.

  • 4900 GForce Suspension Technologies Modified Class: LeCroy went two-for-two, taking another win ahead of Anderson, with Jim Flory rounding out the podium.

  • 4900 Stock Class: Jeremy Blackburn claimed the win with a smart, steady run, while Miller Richmond and Lawless McKenzie filled out the top three.

Note: Paul Wolff entered both UTV Open and Modified, but did not finish in either.

  • 170 Limited: Hayden Gibson led the field with Kaiden Noelck in pursuit.

  • 170 Stock: Eli Robbins drove to a confident win in a smooth, consistent effort.

Youth 1000 Class

  • Qwyntin Arnold claimed the win, followed by Avery Davis and Kayden Gamble in a competitive field.

Legends, Stock, and a Class Crossover

  • 4800 Branik Motorsports Legends Class: Jeff Martin drove a strong race to the win, holding off Caden Berger and Scott Farley in a tight battle.

  • 4600 Spidertrax Stock Class:Cory Day, in a standout effort, lined up his 4600 stock class car against the 4800 field and held his own — showcasing grit and capability with a top-level drive to finish ahead of several 4800 competitors.

The weather may have shifted the plan, but the racing didn’t miss a beat. Huge thanks to Holley EFI for helping us bring Ultra4 USA to their hometown in a big way. Beech Bend’s short course delivered excitement all day long — from big air to close quarters racing.
